We always assess the relative merits of each communication channel and advise our clients accordingly. The official description is 'media neutral'! The vast majority of our work is produced in-house. Otherwise we work with the relevant partner organisation. It works well. No allegiances to any one channel, means no restrictions for our clients. Today, the lines between the different communication disciplines have blurred. But that’s OK. It’s our job to optimise the marketing mix and maintain consistent messaging across-the-board, be it traditional or digital. And as well ensuring ‘one voice’ we undertake the vetting, the leg work – oh and the responsibility.

We’re straight talking, open and honest so we’ll tell you how it is. We listen too. We take the time to understand just what you’re after. We’re not ones for formal meetings or too much technical speak either. So you won’t hear us discussing your WOOPIE* market or ladders of loyalty. Oh and we shy away from doing the hard sell (much to the disappointment of our accountant). And what about that emergency job? We order in the pizza. Third set of amends? Well we get on with it. We’d like to think this approach has helped build our many long-standing relationships. *Well-off older people by the way.

We're all for equipping your in-house team with the knowledge and materials to take your message forward. As far as we're concerned, we'll do whatever it takes to get the most from your budget, and creating templates and guidelines that your own staff can utilise makes a whole lot of sense. We can provide training, advice, guidance - it's just about exploring what mix would work for your own set-up.

We believe it’s crucial to get under the skin of your organisation. Which we’re afraid, will mean lots of questions… We think some agencies are often too quick to get onto that all exciting creative stage without first establishing exactly what the proposition is. What’s the problem? Find the solution! When we've established the killer proposition then the creativity begins…

Just because you want first class creativity and innovative thinking doesn’t mean you have to pay London prices. Here in Bristol we’re winning the awards without letting it go to our heads or our profit line. In fact we’re terribly prudent when tasked with a project. So if the budget’s tight, we’re better equipped to deal with it. We take the view that we should out-think the competition – rather than out-spend them! Plus, we don’t have large wage bills that you pay for whether you’re utilising all the services or not. Since we only call on the services of our partners when they’re needed, you effectively pay-as-you-go.

Consumer fatigue is a big issue thanks to media proliferation and audience fragmentation. We can all feel under siege, with a constant bombardment of marketing messages. So we never underestimate the onerous task we face in engaging our target markets and pride ourselves on imaginative, distinctive work that cuts through to gain attention whether it’s a small ad, mailshot or brochure.

quality

Everyone on our print roster knows us to be sticklers for quality. And we get it. Equally we’re praised by printing firms and publications for our own high quality. Not so everyone? To us, a piece of artwork, whether it’s a quarter page press ad, a prospectus or display graphics, has to be perfectly executed every time and signed off as such by up to four people. But when we see pixilated logos, dark or blurred photos and a smattering of typos out there, perhaps not everyone shares the same standards after all…

eco-conscious

We endeavour to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. We minimise waste and promote its responsible disposal. We commission suppliers who use environmentally friendly production methods. And we consider energy conservation when planning campaigns with our clients. OK we're not 'carbon-offsetting' but we're practical people with good intentions.
